The Flåm Railway Museum

Throughout the year, you can visit the Flåm Railway Museum and find out more about the Flåm Railway, one of Europe's steepest railway lines and an example of Norwegian world-class engineering.

The Flåm Railway Museum gives you an insight into the building of one of Europe's steepest railway lines, the technical challenge and the people behind these impressive engineering works.

On show in the museum are an authentic El 9 locomotive, an old electric shunting engine, a number of rail inspection trolleys and different exhibitions with text, image, sound and objects. You can also experience a trip on the the Flåm Railway by means of a video presentation. At the museum exit, there is a shop with a broad range of souvenirs and Flåm Railway branded items.
