Fjord safari – gets you close to nature

Enjoy the majesty of Western Norwegian nature from open RIBs as we take you on a guided tour of Aurlandsfjord and the World Heritage Nærøyfjord! With a maximum of 12 guests per boat, you are guaranteed a personalised experience with our knowledgeable guides. We will provide a unique insight into the settlements and activities along the fjord and the guide will share local stories and legends from the area. The fjord landscape is teeming with wildlife, and during the tour we will be seeking out seals, porpoises and eagles.

[Fjord Safari] Are the Fjordsafari and Fjord Cruise tours the same?

No, the Fjordsafari is a tour on a RIB boat, whiles the Fjord cruise is on a ferry.

[Fjord Safari] Should I wear warm clothes?

It is not necessary to wear any special clothing as you will receive all clothing and equipment needed from the Fjord Safari crew. In the Winter we do advise you to wear warm clothes.

[Fjord Safari] Is there an age limitation for children or can a baby join the tour?

The tour is suitable for all ages but if you have any special requests, please contact the Fjord Safari office on +47 57 63 33 23. Suggested age limit is 6 years.

[Fjord Safari] Does the boat travel close to the shore?

Yes, at some points the boat will get very close to some waterfalls and villages, where you will be able to take fantastic pictures.

[Fjord Safari] Can you travel one way only with the Fjordsafari?

No, all the Fjordsafari tours are return trips only.
